After spending 16 years in the creative Medical Illustration and Animation Industry, I was no longer happy and it was time for a change. I quit my job and went to Culinary School! I earned my culinary arts degree at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Atlanta and then spent the next five years as the Chef and Kitchen Manager at a Cafe’ Restaurant in Buckhead. That was an amazing experience but it was time for me to start my own company. Leaf and Loaf was created and from that was born a Children’s Program called Fun with Food. Chef Thomas Numprasong started his culinary journey as a dishwasher in a bagel shop back in 1994. Throughout high school and college he continued working in restaurants and hotels and quickly found his calling in the bakeshop.

He attended Johnson & Wales University in both Charleston SC and Providence RI and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Baking & Pastry Arts. Growing up in eastern North Carolina, my mother taught me the way around a kitchen. I remember how she would make everything from scratch and all by memory, which later led to one of her recipes being featured in a cookbook!  This coupled with my father’s experience as a cook in the U.S. Army, inspired my love for food and making it one of the cornerstones of our family and friends to bring us all together. I have carried this with me as I began this journey and continue to embrace the way good and well-prepared food can bridge any gap across communities through service and sharing.


I am a student being trained as a Professional Chef here in Atlanta at Atlanta Technical College. I have a Food Truck called Tarheel Smokehouse BBQ, which started in summer of 2019. I travel around to different NASCAR tracks as a vendor during racing season and have done several large music festivals along the east coast. I am a member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) also United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) as well ServSafe certified.


My objective is to bring an amazing experience of my love for cooking and watching my clients enjoy good food and make memories around the table.
